Frequently Asked Questions

How much will my dental treatment cost with insurance?

Most dental PPO plans follow a 100-80-50 structure: preventive care is covered at 100%, basic restorative at 80%, and major restorative (crowns, implants, dentures) at 50%, up to an annual maximum that is typically $1,500. Cosmetic work such as veneers is not covered at all. The Denvida estimator applies your carrier, deductible and remaining annual maximum to a Bay Area price range and shows your estimated out-of-pocket cost.

Is this dental cost calculator free?

Yes. The Denvida cost estimator is free and requires no sign-up. It gives an estimate only — Denvida provides a detailed written estimate at a free consultation with a 3D scan before any treatment begins.

Does dental insurance cover implants?

Many dental PPO plans cover implants as a major restorative procedure at around 50%, but the annual maximum (typically $1,500) caps how much the plan actually pays, so most of an implant's cost is usually out-of-pocket. Denvida is in-network with Delta Dental and Cigna and offers financing.

Does insurance cover porcelain veneers?

No. Veneers and cosmetic bonding are considered cosmetic and are not a covered benefit under dental insurance, so the estimator shows the full amount as out-of-pocket. Denvida offers financing for cosmetic treatment.

Why is the estimate a range and not a single price?

Dental fees vary with the complexity of the case — whether bone grafting is needed, the materials chosen, and how many teeth are treated. The estimator shows a Bay Area market range so you can plan. Your exact fee is confirmed in a written treatment plan after a 3D scan.
